Dr. Jessica George

Welcome!
I have been a licensed clinical psychologist for over 15 years. My passion is providing therapy, training, and education based in trauma-informed care. I have been privileged to witness the incredible survivorship of countless individuals who have experienced trauma and other difficult life experiences.
As a humanistic therapist, my approach centers around the belief that you are the expert of your own experiences. You have a unique story, and I am here to help you explore it in a safe and supportive environment. Because most of my clients have experienced a history of trauma (or are currently being impacted by traumatic events), I have experience in many trauma-focused approaches and techniques. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which I have found valuable in processing difficult past experiences and preparing for future concerns.
In addition to my therapist experience, I have worked in large public hospital systems for many years. My work environments have been fast paced, providing services to underserved communities and individuals with significant stressors who are often in crisis. The individuals and families I have worked with include those who have experienced the impact of incarceration, severe physical injuries, and/or health-related stress. I have also provided services to first responders, medical and nursing staff, and remote workers. During my training, I conducted assessment and therapy for veterans, older adults, and trauma survivors.
I have created, developed, and implemented multiple trainings on trauma-informed care, stress management, crisis intervention, and PTSD. I have been involved in trauma-related research, training, and education throughout my career, presenting and publishing my work for local, state, and national organizations. Recently, I was honored with being invited to deliver the keynote speech at a state conference.
